Multiple Spraying Options
Efficient Broadcast Spraying
Save time and work by covering large areas with an effective 40in. broadcast width, great for yards, orchards and more. The Ironton Tow-Behind Broadcast and Spot Sprayer is a great way to take care of big jobs.
Accurate, Economical Spot Spraying
Save money and materials, this sprayer is ideal for weeds, trees, fence lines and other isolated areas. With 12ft. vertical reach and 20ft. horizontal throw there aren't many places you can't spray. What's more, the spray gun's nozzle can be adjusted from a powerful stream to a gentle mist.
3 Times Thicker Walls
Our chemical tanks have a UV- and chemical-resistant polymer design that prevents bulging and sagging. A large 7 1/2in. tank lid provides easy filling and the tank-bottom drain provides easy emptying. The molded-in gallon marks give you an easy way to monitor your fluid levels.
Fewer Refills Means More Productivity
Stopping in the middle of a job to refill is time and money wasted. With the Ironton Tow-Behind Broadcast and Spot Sprayer's 13-gallon tank, you can cover more ground with fewer interruptions, a great feature when working in remote locations.

1. Tires were easily popped by "goat head" burrs. I was able to fix that problem by a liberal application of tire slime.
2. The on/off switch was very cheep and failed after only a few uses. I purchased a new, better switch at an auto parts store and have been happy with that.
3. Even though I was careful to remove water from the wand, there was enough left in it that it froze over the winter. That destroy the wand. I purchased a new wand at CalRanch for about $10. At the end of this season, I am planning on removing the wand and the pump and taking them inside to prevent possible damage.
4. Sometimes I struggle to get the pump to prime. When that happens I just put the garden hose directly at the suction end of the pump intake tube and that gets the pump working. Because i don't want to put my hand/arm into chemical solution, I am careful to check for correct pump operation before I add chemical to the tank.
5. After two seasons, I was unable to get the pump to work. I took it apart and discovered corrosion. With a little effort, I was able to break it loose and it has been working fines since then. I plan on doing regular seasonal maintenance to the pump to clean up corrosion.
6. I added a hose valve from the pump to the wand to be able to have better control over the sprayer.
Even though I have had some struggles with this sprayer, I do like it and am a happy customer. I would not recommend it to people who can't or don't want to trouble shoot and fix minor issues that come along. It sprays well and makes taking care of my weed problems much easier.
Works Fine.
BUT! Take the sprayer wand inside before winter. I'm sure that I drained everything, but come Spring, I went to spray my fruit trees and the handle (at the trigger) leaked the length of the seam. It was useless. I think that it's just cheap plastic that can't handle the cold. And the oem replacement price is way out of line. I got a longer replacement wand from Bomgaars. I wish that I bought the one with the sprayer boom. Other than that - no complaints.
Additional - Don't leave it out in the sun!!! Either paint the entire tank or store it inside. South Dakota sun dried-out & cracked the top inn several places. Had to fiberglass most of the top to seal it back up.
Motor seized up this year after the winter. Took it apart and sprayed it with PB Blaster. After ½ hour or so I rotated the shaft back & forth until it spun freely. Works fine now.
Hoses are rotting and will soon need to be replaced.
Easy to clean too - so I anticipate years of service.
But I have used this sprayer only five times and it is now dead. Took it out to do some Fall lawn spraying only to find the pump would not work. It pulled lots of amps - enough to blow the 5A fuse on my mower - but does not run. Took motor housing off the pump and the motor is completely corroded. Lo and behold, the wiring from the pressure switch going into the pump motor housing IS NOT SEALED. So when you wash the sprayer after use per the instructions, be sure you don't get any water near the pump motor housing!! RIDICULOUS AND CHEAP.
