Here is a super cute idea! Painting a pumpkin a solid color and then adding fingerprint art designs! It is super easy, even for kids. Consider a pastel backdrop and painting cute ghosts or little jack-o-lanterns on it to really make it pop. They are so easy to paint and you can add small details after they dry using a sharpie or some glitter. And bonus, even a mistake will look adorable.

Have you ever thought of using pumpkins as a canvas for some spooky or cute art? The idea of tiny ghosts floating on a bright orange pumpkin just tickles my fancy. Or even painting them black with little white ghosts is super cute! If you’re feeling more fancy, try some painted flowers. You could make some really fun and unique decor that everyone will adore!

These are some crazy pumpkin ideas that my kids can’t wait to try this Halloween! I am not sure that they are super simple but I am sure they are super fun. If you like Nightmare Before Christmas, there’s a Jack Skellington design, and there’s also one that gives me the creeps, painted with a giant grin. To be honest though my favorite is the bright green pumpkin with the spooky grinning face.

How about a whole pumpkin patch of painted pumpkins? The cupcake one looks so sweet! If you aren’t into scary you could always do a cactus pumpkin, its a funny twist. Or just an easy “Boo” is always cute, I like the white background and black letters. And, hey, why not a wicked witch to top it all off!

If you are looking for simple and quick ideas, you can’t go wrong with painting a cute little fox! Its a nice orange color, just paint the lower part of the pumpkin white and draw a cute face with its eyes closed. To finish this, add a simple felt ears that are orange and white and you are set! This is a great little fox to place anywhere around the house and your family will be sure to like it.

Aren’t these pumpkins just the cutest? I love how they used different colors and shades, some solid, some marbled, some dotted or decorated to make such a variety of different looks. I’m especially obsessed with the idea of the metallic stems and the small detail of the ghost faces on the black pumpkins. It looks like they started with a coat of paint or maybe even a pastel shade then went in and added simple drawings. I just love how this pumpkin spread turned out, you should definitely try something similar!

How about this pumpkin idea? I am really into the idea of splitting my pumpkin into sections and creating little slices of Halloween fun. The rainbow colors are super cute for contrast. You can even do themes in each section like ghost, skeletons and bats! It’s super unique and you don’t have to pick just one design.

How about these cute “Monsters, Inc.” inspired pumpkins? A light blue Sully and a lime green Mike Wozniak. So easy to just paint and sketch on their faces, right? The kids would definitely recognize them from their favorite movie! Pick this idea if you’re looking for a fun, not-so-spooky Halloween vibe.

Want to try something nature-inspired? Painting a white pumpkin with some simple leaves, a butterfly, and even a tiny snake could be super cute. The best part is you don’t have to be super precise; the imperfections give it a whimsical feel. Plus, think of all the color variations you could play with! You could even get the kids involved with this one, each painting their own leaf!

How about going beyond the typical spooky pumpkin? I’m loving these vibrant, pink-and-orange pumpkins—so unexpected! You could totally mix and match patterns like stripes, polka dots, and even a fun buffalo check. Just grab some craft paint, brushes, and maybe some cute ribbons to finish the look. This is a fun way to brighten up your autumn decor with something totally unique and girly! Plus, the smaller pumpkins would be perfect for kids to decorate too.

Isn’t that collection of pumpkins just too cute? I love how they took simple ideas like polka dots, “Boo”, ghosts, and a frankenstein face, to turn ordinary pumpkins into a fun and festive Halloween display. The little white pumpkin with the minimalist face is so sweet! I think even the kids could help paint something like that. This shows you can create a spooky vibe with a touch of whimsy.

Okay, maybe Stitch is calling your name? It’s super cute, and those felt ears just take it to the next level. Grab some basic blue paint, pink felt and a little creativity to bring the mischievous alien to life! Trust me, kids will absolutely adore this one and it is easier to paint than it looks. Plus, how fun would it be to watch Lilo and Stitch while you get crafty!

How about trying a playful, marbled effect? This technique is super easy and so fun to do with kids because there’s really no wrong way to do it! All you need is a base color on your pumpkin and then just swirl different bright colors of paint on top. It creates a super modern and unique look that really pops, and is simple enough for any skill level. Wouldn’t these look cute clustered together in a basket for a fun centerpiece?

Just sketch out some exaggerated eyes, noses, and mouths with a pencil, then fill them in with bright, colorful paints. Add rosy cheeks and maybe even a bow on top for extra cuteness.
